Should others “teach us a lesson”? Why do they feel endowed with such power and privilege?
Does a community, the country, or the world need community policing groups to punish individuals – i.e., push them to the brink of a nervous breakdown, stroke, heart attack, or suicide? What will the world look like in the future? What can we learn from the past – witch hunts come to mind!
Individuals in community-based harassment are referred to as abusers, perps, tormenters, even hate groups. How do they rationalize their behavior and perceive themselves as doing good? Can this perception be changed? How?
